I'm Isabella , a composer and sound designer with a track record across film projects, game jams, festivals, and gallery projects mainnly. I am proud to have scored a piece for the Courtauld Gallery and National Gallery and had both of them performed in December and March 2023, inspired by paintings of my choice (The Card Players by Paul Cézanne and Cenotaph to the Memory of Sir Joshua Reynolds by John Constable). Additionally, another accomplishment worthy of note is an orchestral piece for 'Ménilmiontant', a collection of 1930s French restored short films, performed in the Barbican Centre. I am willing to get this position as a composer for you short film as I your brief really resonated with me, now trying to recollect those sweet, intangible memories from childhood, where everything seemed just perfect! The pitch caught my attention as soon as the vibraphone was mentioned as the preferred instrument for the short film, one that encapsuled excellently the feelings of nostalgia of those lost times, alongside the guitar and a soft piano they are the way to go. As I guitar player and polyinstrumentalist I could not be happier to read this, and in the experimentation process with these instruments I cannot but suggest the addition of the dulcimer, an instrument that is indeed very underrated, but that could add to the soft touch of the vibraphone. ( I personally own one of them and had the chance to play it in Milton Court Concert Hall for an orchestral concert.) Please, do consider my application as this is a pitch that most intrigues me. I very much hope to hear from you soon, Best wishes, Isabella
