I am Jes Benstock, an editor and animator based in London with extensive professional experience. I have made award‑winning short documentaries, short fiction, music promos and a feature‑length, theatrically released semi‑animated documentary. I started in theatre and comedy in Scotland. My playful humour and storytelling runs through my work, often tackling complex or difficult subjects with humour and a light touch. In recent years I have worked out of my own wee company Lemberg Films Ltd. My recent work includes Squat City 73, a cinematic 3D piece created in Unreal Engine for the Folkestone Triennial. I have created animations in After Effects for Urban Visuals and XTX Markets, a number of corporate animations and videos Future Talent Learning, and directed, animated and edited for the British Museum, NHS, English National Opera (including for Terry Gilliam’s.
