For over 20 years, I’ve been writing and recording music in a number of genres. In addition to my album projects, I have done either composition or sound design for 24 theatre productions. I also offer music technology consults and recording services. Growing up around my father’s amateur radio electronics experiments and Rolling Stones LPs, I acquired an interest in music and the science of sound from an early age. My father played guitar as a hobby. His mother – Francine (Trago) dePrisco – performed Gospel music on local television in Wilmington, Delaware in the 1970s. I can still remember being fascinated by this as a young child. As a bassist, guitarist and vocalist, I’ve been heavily influenced by progressive rock, folk, blues, acoustic blues, and many styles of music outside of the rock genre. At one point, I even toured with The Bodó Band, a Hungarian folk group, and recorded an album (Bloombsurg to Bangladesh) with Bengali tabla player Mostafizur “Bulu” Rahman. Since the early 90s, I have been active as an arts event producer throughout NE and Central PA. Most recently, I’ve been a musical director for the Philly Maker Faire and also produce our podcast. In 2010, I formed the Americana duo Fricknadorable, with my wife Audra (vocals/ukulele). Since then, we’ve been performing at repeat engagements at coffee shops, restaurants, farm markets, festivals, wineries, political fundraisers, and private parties. Since 2010, I’ve been splitting my time between exploring electronic music, STEAM workshops, and recording other artists. Since 2019, I’ve been actively involved in the Philadelphia music scene.
