Memoria, a wedding photography and film business based in Utah, is seeking a long-term contract wedding film editor. The editor will work primarily with Jess to turn wedding footage into documentary-style films that capture the real emotions, vows, events, and in-between moments of each couple’s day. This is remote, part-time contract work paid per completed film. Each film typically requires approximately 15–20 hours of editing in DaVinci Resolve. The role is intended for one reliable editor who can build an ongoing working relationship with Memoria rather than work on a rotating, project-by-project basis. The workload may reach approximately four films per month, although volume is seasonal and not guaranteed. Work is expected to become steadier over time. Requirements Previous experience editing wedding films is required. Strong proficiency in DaVinci Resolve; the software should not significantly slow down your workflow. Ability to create story-driven, documentary-style wedding films. Strong storytelling instincts and an emphasis on authentic moments over excessive effects. Ability to work independently using your own computer. Reliable communication and timely responses to messages and feedback. Availability for part-time contract work rather than a full-time schedule. Applicants should be comfortable working remotely and building a long-term relationship with a small team. Compensation and Contract Details 1099 independent contractor position. $500 per completed wedding film. Approximately 15–20 hours per film, equivalent to roughly $25–$33 per hour depending on editing speed. Listed pay starts at approximately $1,500 per month. Potential for around four films per month, though the volume is not guaranteed. Payment is issued within 24 hours of final film delivery. Additional Information Work location: Remote. Expected start date: As soon as the right candidate is found. Editing software: DaVinci Resolve. To apply, applicants should watch several films at memoriaphotoandfilm.com to understand Memoria’s style. Applicants will receive a phone number and three questions, then submit a short, informal video response recorded on a phone. Everyone who submits a video will receive a response. Read more
