ASCEND Original Single Release

ASCEND is an independently released electronic music project that demonstrates my complete production workflow, from the initial musical concept through to commercial release. The record was entirely self-produced and developed as a showcase of my approach to modern electronic music, combining cinematic storytelling with powerful bass-driven production.

The project extended far beyond producing a single record. Every creative and technical decision—from composition and sound design through to branding, visual identity and marketing—was managed independently, ensuring a cohesive vision throughout every stage of the release.

As the sole creative behind the project, I was responsible for the complete development and execution of ASCEND, including:

The production process focused on balancing cinematic atmosphere with high-impact electronic music. Every element was carefully designed to create emotional progression whilst maintaining the energy expected from a modern bass music release.

Particular attention was given to low-end translation, stereo imaging, transient control and overall clarity, ensuring the record performed consistently across streaming platforms, headphones and club sound systems. The final master was engineered to achieve commercial loudness while preserving punch, dynamics and musicality.

Creative Direction

Alongside the audio production, I developed the project’s visual identity and marketing campaign to ensure every piece of content reflected the same creative vision.

This included designing the branding, planning the release strategy, producing promotional content and managing the social media rollout. By overseeing both the artistic and commercial aspects of the release, the project maintained a consistent identity from concept through to launch.

Outcome

ASCEND received international radio support, including airplay from Dance Revolution Radio, further establishing my independent artist project and demonstrating my ability to deliver commercially competitive music to a professional standard.

The project also highlights my ability to independently manage an entire creative production pipeline, combining technical audio engineering with branding, marketing and strategic project management.
