Katie Bombardieri is a Sydney-based composer and music educator whose work bridges contemporary jazz, classical, and educational settings. Her arrangements have been commissioned by the Northern Territory Music School, including Lukunhirranmirri (2024–25) and The Rainbow Connection (2025–26). Her work Scorpio Moon was written for the Mosaic Jazz Collective and Tempe High School Jazz Orchestra (2023–24) and later performed by The Arts Unit Stage Band at the 2025 Manly Jazz Festival. Katie’s composition Supernova was featured on the Spectra Jazz Orchestra’s 2023 debut album of the same name, following her earlier success as winner of the 2020 Artology Fanfare Competition with her orchestral fanfare Achelois. An active contributor to Australia’s jazz and educational music scenes, Katie serves as Vice President of Spectra Jazz Inc. (formerly Secretary, 2023–25) and regularly publishes original works and arrangements through Hal Leonard’s ArrangeMe platform. She has also worked as a Composer and Student Mentor for the Kaldor Music Workshop & Education Program at the Art Gallery of New South Wales and was featured on The Dementia Podcast (2022).
