Hi, I’m Kinza Farooq, a creative illustrator and visual artist based in Karachi, Pakistan. I specialize in children’s story books and educational content, bringing original concepts to life through research, sketching, hand-drawn detailing, and thoughtful scene composition.

I’ve worked on illustrated books for both local and international markets, and some of my titles reached major bookstore platforms in Malaysia, including BookXcess. From character design and storyboarding to color palette decisions and final artwork, I enjoy creating playful, fantasy and culturally rooted visuals that feel warm, engaging, and story-driven.

Children's book illustration

Hi! I am really excited to share a very fun, playful children's book that I worked on. I designed this book using Adobe Illustrator, I am a procreate fan so the process turned out to be a bit different but still really fun. My focus was still to give my work a hand drawn effect so I decide to add extra brush stroke effect to my illustrations. I focus a lot on originality so, I start my process with research and sketch work, where I design my characters, layout my scenes and work on story boarding. Then I move towards the colour phase where I decide my colour palette for the illustration, I move towards the illustration phase, then add the extra details for final editing.
