My background is rooted in piano. I’ve played since childhood, studied composition formally at Greenville University with piano as my primary instrument, and have spent years developing a sound that blends the intimate and the cinematic. My personal EP project, “Screaming to the Void” draws on layered piano and synths to build something emotionally immersive. I’ve produced projects for other independent artists, and those pieces all share similar aspects. Electric, Rhodes-like piano, synth strings, and a mood that leans into the depth of feeling. My portfolio includes 10 original piano instrumentals that give a direct window into how I approach scoring for emotion and atmosphere.
Within my portfolio link, you’ll find a link to a youtube playlist which showcases a one-minute short film I entered into a showcase in Nashville. I scored original music for this, blending a feeling of nostalgia and longing. On this same playlist, I’ve included two exercises where I rewrote the music for existing scenes from well-known films. These experiments pushed me to understand how every compositional choice shapes what an audience feels, and how to keep it understated at times, to not overpower the story itself.
I am fluent with Logic Pro X and Sibelius, and thrive within a collaborative project. Years of teaching, running my own studio, and producing for other artists have made me comfortable with feedback, revision, and the kind of ongoing dialogue that good creative work requires.

You can also find the more pop/vocal-centric projects I’ve worked on. I’d love to talk more about the film and what you’re imagining for its sound. This was entered into a 1-minute film showcase in Nashville, TN. The theme was “Love.” We decided to take a montage-style approach and make a sort of meditation on all the beautiful and simple moments of life, when, as a collection, equal a life full of love. The score I wrote for this blends simplicity, nostalgia, and beauty with a hint of friction. I used Logic Pro and used the Imagiro felted piano plug-in for it’s warmth and gentleness, and used a few other plug-ins to round out the sonic landscape.
