    uniE621 Drawing for poster of philosophy course
    The client wanted a drawing of Plato's myth from the dialogue Phaedrus — to promote the philosophy course "The history of the soul". For this drawing I choose to reenforce the strength of both rational and irrational sides of the soul as described in the text. The soul is described as a winged chariot pulled by two winged horses and driven by a charioteer representing the rational soul. The noble, white horse symbolizes the spirited, honorable, and temperate aspects of the soul, while the ugly, black horse represents the irrational, lustful, and base appetites. The charioteer's task is to control both horses to guide the soul towards the celestial realm and the Forms. I chose to draw the charioteer figure considerably small in relation to the horses to give a sense of the strength it takes to keep the soul balanced. In this composition the two horses point to different directions and its figure, though similar, is clearly marked by visual caracteristics that highlight their opposite forces.…

    Designed 38 black and white digital illustrations with a feel of analog drawing for non-fiction book by the portuguese author Francisco Martins (Temas & Debates, 2023) about the history of Israel. For this project I developed detailed maps, diagrams, and artwork to enlivened historical content and helped explain complex concepts visually, working closely with the author to ensure accuracy and engaging imagery.…
