Hi! I am a composer and performer (trumpet) currently based out of Chicago, IL. I have composed and orchestrated music for a handful of commercial and independent films, but looking to expand that! I have access to excellent recording studios, world-class musicians, and resources that allow me to collaborate and communicate with high efficiency. My main interests are in small group and chamber ensembles (12-25 persons), writing neo-classical, new modern classical and crossover, traditional New Orleans style swing, funk, and modern jazz...although, I can write across a multitude of styles, if needed! Having lived in multiple cities in three countries, I have learned to collaborate with artists of all disciplines and backgrounds, and enjoy the process of becoming acquaintances (and sometimes friends) with those I work with. The biggest difference between myself and other musicians, I do believe, is my ability to go with the flow, and to leave the stress and anxiety at the door when beginning work. Art is work, and there are times when seriousness and solitude are a necessity, but there is also room for evolution and play. Recently, I have worked on the independent film 'Parsnip', written and directed by John Hansen out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It was a score written for bass and trumpet. In 2018, a film was released, In Reality, directed and written by Ann Lupo (New York) that I composed one piece of music for and orchestrated, recorded and produced the original title song In Reality (with a full New Orleans brass band, no less!). I have worked on very small commercial projects, and 24 hour film festival collaborations in addition to these, and look forward to connecting with YOU to make something! My debut record, Water Music, will be released on May 15th, 2020, alongside another of my projects - Strange Winds. Water Music is an activism based project, with an aim to bring awareness to the global water crisis. Strange Winds is a new project that comprises anywhere from four to 15 horn players, improvising continuously through a chamber ensemble lens. My website is _Website not available.
