ESL ONE - KUALA LUMPUR 2023.

()

I had the opportunity to create the official key art for ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, one of the most prestigious Dota 2 tournaments in the world.
For this piece, we wanted to capture the intensity and mystique of the competition. The focus was placed on Oracle, depicted in a powerful and enigmatic stance, holding the ESL trophy at the core of the composition. Surrounding him, celestial elements and planetary forms emphasize the sense of scale, destiny, and cosmic energy that echo the world of Dota 2.
The color palette was designed to balance vibrant contrasts (purples, greens, and yellows) with deep space tones, creating both drama and atmosphere. We also integrated references to Kuala Lumpur—particularly the iconic Batu Caves—as symbolic anchors tying the tournament back to its host city.
This project was an incredible journey, made possible thanks to the amazing Tier-S Agency team.
