paper La Tempête du Deuil for Piano Quintet

La Tempête du Deuil for Piano Quintet is a three-movement work completed in fulfillment of my Masters of Music Composition Degree at Southern Methodist University. The first movement primarily serves to introduce the listener to the harmonic language and melodic-motivic content explored in the subsequent movements through contrasting themes. The second movement is a funeral march, and the third movement is a scherzo pastoral.
