Hi, I’m Misa Inoue, a graphic designer and illustrator with roots in Japan, now based in France. After earning a Graphic Design degree from the Academy of Art University, I built a career in San Francisco, Tokyo, and beyond, collaborating with individuals and global brands across beauty, food and beverage, interior design, music, and IT. In 2019 I started my independent design practice to explore diverse projects and cross-cultural storytelling, and in 2023 I relocated to France to continue growing as an artist and connect with people from around the world.
I love turning ideas into visual experiences, blending bold aesthetics with thoughtful systems. My work spans logo, packaging, print, digital design, and illustration, and I enjoy opportunities to create products and campaigns that resonate across cultures and industries.

For the recruitment agency Aquent, I designed company brochures for both clients and talent, creating Japanese and English versions using the provided line drawings.
Through my online shop Atelier d’Aura, I offer services that merge art and tarot reading. One of these projects, Soul Portrait, is an original artwork created by combining a client’s modern-day portrait with imagery inspired by their past-life attire, as guided through a tarot reading. In addition, I also offer aura color portraits as well as custom family portraits.
For UME NYC, a Frenchie bulldog–shaped taiyaki shop by Tojo’s Kitchen in New York, I designed the logo, takeout and delivery packaging, illustrations, and drink packaging.
The logo was inspired by traditional Japanese family crests (kamon) and developed in warm, appetizing taiyaki-inspired colors, blending Japanese cultural references with a playful, contemporary identity.
I worked on the art direction, logo, packaging, and leaflet design for Pwamone, a new Japanese pâtisserie brand that offers sweets from around the world. The founder, who has traveled extensively, has a particular fondness for Argentina and wished the brand to embody the symbolism of the Calafate berry of Patagonia—known for the saying that “those who taste it are destined to return.” Inspired by this motif, I expressed a sense of luxury and trust while also incorporating natural warmth and a touch of charm.
