I’m an independent freelance creative professional who excels in interpersonal relationships. My strengths are found in the creative, client and crew interface. I’m a decisive leader who does his homework and asks for input and clarification along the way.

While the day rate listed is for producer or director roles, I have a full rate card including lower fees for “PRreditor”, “Director of Photography”, “Editor” functions. I also offer non-profit discounts beyond those day rates, on an as-available basis.

I work with Sony FS7, and A7SIII with cinema setups. I am a competent drone operator with a DJI Air 3. I have directed full crews with light/grip, camera and audio departments, and I’ve worked alone on guerrilla documentary and verité shoots around the world. My postproduction suite is Mac based Adobe Creative Cloud and a variety of other software tools.

Jada Windows: Stop Motion Branding Video

During COVID, it was impossible for Jada Window's sales force to meet face to face with customers, mostly interior designers and architects. They created a display unit that would fit on the back of a pickup truck and act as a mobile showcase in prospective customer's parking lots. Social distancing and masks allowed hands-on decision making and kept business flowing. I developed the creative concept for the video, and directed/edited this stop motion project to introduce the innovative traveling showroom. Because the company has a very high end customer base, the piece had to be flawless. Director of Photography, John Northrup created a lighting setup inside one of the client's paint booths using minimalist light and grip to keep us under budget. The end result has increased the company's bookings for the sales department.

The Bible, Our Bibles (Historical Documentary Trailer)

I was selected to write and direct a multi-part series to be produced in China, India, and the United Kingdom in 2024. The project explores the arrival of the Bible in China beginning in the seventh century AD. It will be delivered in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin and will include stories of unsung heroes - the Chinese scholars who risked their lives to help Protestant and Catholic missionaries hell-bent on localizing what's been called the "greatest book ever written". The first task was to create fundraising tools for the development team. Our small crew worked on an incredibly limited budget for several weeks with Bible scholars from North America and China to frame this enormous undertaking. Principal photography is slated for Spring of 2024.

Bill Griffin's Masterclass Series on Genesis: INTRO

I led creative development and production design for this seminary level Masterclass styled series. I directed the crew, complete with camera department, light/grip and electric, staging, and sound for the 10-episode pilot series that will launch in early 2024.
