    Etsy Store | EverywearAndNowear

Founded and operate an independent apparel brand and Etsy store specialising in graphic T-shirts inspired by underground music culture, fashion, internet aesthetics, and contemporary visual design.

The project encompasses the entire creative and commercial process, from concept development and graphic design through to product mockups, online merchandising, marketing, and customer fulfilment. Each design is created with a focus on strong visual identity, wearable graphics, and culturally relevant storytelling, translating digital design skills into physical products.

Alongside creating original artwork, I developed the brand’s visual identity, managed product listings, wrote product descriptions, created promotional assets, and optimised the store experience to drive customer engagement and sales.

This project demonstrates my ability to take a creative concept from initial idea through to a market-ready product, combining graphic design, branding, e-commerce, and digital marketing within a self-initiated business.

Boiler Room Broadcast Lab – Creative Campaign & Art Direction Proposal

Developed a creative concept and visual campaign proposal for Boiler Room’s Broadcast Lab, exploring how visual storytelling can capture the energy, identity, and community surrounding contemporary underground music culture.

The project centred on creating a cohesive visual narrative that extended beyond event promotion, focusing instead on documenting the atmosphere, emotion, and shared experiences that define dance music communities. Drawing inspiration from rave photography, club documentation, digital media, and youth culture, I developed a series of visual assets designed to communicate a strong sense of place and belonging.

The proposal combined art direction, image selection, graphic design, and campaign thinking to create a distinctive visual language aligned with Boiler Room’s global reputation for showcasing emerging music scenes and authentic cultural moments. Through experimentation with layout, typography, image treatment, and motion-led content, the project explored how design can amplify the connection between audiences, artists, and physical spaces.

This self-initiated project demonstrates my ability to respond to a creative brief, develop concept-led visual solutions, and create culturally relevant design work for music, events, and entertainment brands.

Event Launch and Collaboration | The Firehouse, Manchester

I collaborated with The Firehouse Manchester to launch their After Dark Runway Series - an extension of the venue’s fierce, unapologetic celebration of queer nightlife and self-expression. For the debut, I curated and showcased a selection of garments designed and produced locally by me, aligning with Firehouse’s ethos of community, creativity, and inclusivity.

Beyond fashion direction, I also shaped the show’s atmosphere by submitting my own mix to soundtrack the runway, ensuring the presentation carried the same raw energy and intensity as the space it was staged in. The blend of music, movement, and design transformed the night into a fully immersive experience that felt true to both Firehouse and my practice.

The partnership grew into an ongoing relationship with the venue’s owners, culminating in a second runway presentation to mark the launch of my MA Graduate Collection. Following its debut during London Fashion Week, the collection was reimagined within Firehouse’s immersive atmosphere - bringing high fashion into the heart of Manchester’s nightlife, where bold performance and underground culture intersect.

Sanctuary – Event Branding & Visual Identity

Sanctuary is a conceptual branding project developed for a fictional electronic music event celebrating queer nightlife, community, and self-expression. The project explores how visual identity can create a sense of belonging, escapism, and anticipation before attendees even enter the space.

Drawing inspiration from underground club culture, rave aesthetics, and contemporary digital design, I created a cohesive visual system spanning logo design, typography, colour direction, promotional posters, social media assets, and event communications. The identity balances high-energy visuals with a strong sense of atmosphere, reflecting the event’s positioning as both a dancefloor experience and a cultural gathering space.

The project focused on translating abstract themes of freedom, connection, and sanctuary into a recognisable and adaptable brand identity capable of functioning across both digital and physical environments. Through experimentation with typography, composition, motion, and image treatment, I developed a visual language designed to resonate with modern music audiences and queer creative communities.

This self-initiated project demonstrates my approach to brand strategy, visual storytelling, and designing immersive identities that extend beyond a single touchpoint.

Personal Portfolio Website Design & Development | www.patrickgarstang.xyz

Designed and developed a fully responsive personal portfolio website to showcase my work across graphic design, fashion design, motion graphics, technical illustration, and visual storytelling.

The project involved creating a cohesive visual identity that reflects my multidisciplinary creative practice, with a focus on bold typography, clean layouts, and intuitive navigation. I planned the site’s information architecture, curated project content, designed the user interface, and built the website to function seamlessly across desktop and mobile devices.

The website serves as both a professional portfolio and personal brand platform, presenting selected projects, creative services, and contact information in a clear and engaging format. Particular attention was given to balancing visual impact with usability, ensuring that diverse project types could be showcased within a consistent design system.

Published Editorial | F Word Magazine

F Word’s latest fashion editorial is the the brainchild of photographer Eve Louisa and stylist Ona Greenwood as they explore abstract movement in cold harsh light, which eventuates the form and strangeness of the story. Titled ‘Trip the Light Fantastic’, this refers to an old ballroom dancing phrase in which the body and light are intertwined.
