NFL: Brand Designer
Brand Designer is needed in United States.
Mid-level Brand Designer needed to join the award-winning NFL Creative team. They are based in Los Angeles, at their state-of-the-art facility at Hollywood Park. Just a stone’s throw from the most advanced sports venue on the planet, So-Fi Stadium–home of the Rams and Chargers.
The chosen Designer will need an insatiable passion for sport, and an acute knowledge of their games and the 32 NFL Clubs. You will work with the NFL Creative team to maintain and grow the NFL’s brand on an ongoing basis, by supporting all NFL’s owned/operated and partner digital media platforms.
This role is responsible for visual design and templates/toolkits/brand style guides/pitch decks, for digital content assets including key art, web/mobile assets, social media campaigns, and other promotional assets for their NFL media franchises. You will report to their Art Directors and Creative Directors.
The NFL’s world-class creative department acts as an ambassador of the most valuable sports/media brands in the world including the NFL league itself, their NFL tentpole events (Draft, Pro Bowl, Super Bowl, etc.), and their 32 NFL clubs. They eat, sleep and breath the LIVE football experience, as well as nurture media brands through the off-season.
They uphold the NFL content/media brand portfolio across all linear/digital platforms and products including NFL Network, NFL.com, NFL Apps, NFL social channels, partner platforms, and more. Their entire existence is dedicated to elevating the NFL fan experience through supercharged media, content, storytelling, and community campaigns.
Responsibilities:
Follow creative requests accurately and maintain the high quality of the NFL brand
Design on-brand creative assets from concept to execution optimized for multiple digital and social platforms.
Produce engaging assets that demonstrate a high-level understanding of design, typography, and animation.
Collaborate with other designers and the Art Director to concept visual solutions to unique brand challenges, graphics packages and templates
Possess a strong sense of creativity and imagination
Photo enhancement and manipulation (i.e. cut-outs, cleanup, jersey swaps, etc.)
Contribute to future brand updates and innovations.
Create clear, concise toolkits in Photoshop/Illustrator After Effects that can be handed off to their photo team, editors and vendors.
Create premium, thoughtful brand books, style guides, pitch desks and presentations.
Requirements:Capable of taking initiative, following department processes and procedures.
A positive, welcoming attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
College Graduate or comparable experience in graphic design or visual communications.
2+ years of experience working as a graphic designer for major brands
Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Keynote
Knowledge of football as it pertains to sports graphics preferred.
Capable of working within the guidelines of an existing graphics package to maintain consistency and quality
A keen eye and remarkable sense of confidence when it comes to graphics design, typography and information design
Must have excellent organizational skills.
Must be flexible, deadline driven, a great collaborator and must be able to confidently deliver graphics with complete accuracy
Must adhere to existing workflow and file structure
3+ years of experience working in sports/entertainment/media preferred
Agency experience a plus
Additional proficiency in Figma and video/motion tools including After Effects
Physical Demands:Sitting/Walking/Talking on Phone/Using Computer Keyboard
Expected Hours of Work:Holidays & Weekends as needed.
