Location : Livingston, Scotland

Contract : 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

Empteezy group was founded in 1986 and has manufacturing facilities in France, Germany, Spain, Italy with headquarters for the Group based in Livingston.

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our team on a temporary basis for 6 to 8 months covering a member of staff on maternity leave.

Reporting to the Group Commercial Director, the role of Marketing Assistant is a key role within the marketing team providing assistance and support with all marketing related activities and campaigns.

You will assist with marketing campaigns by collecting feedback, creating graphs, charts, and slides to present to decision-makers, and conducting market research to understand the target audience.

You will provide support and help with senior-level projects, including executive campaigns that will drive Company sales. You will assist the Marketing team on various projects.

You will create innovative marketing content for social media platforms, website and all other digital platforms.

You will have excellent organisational skills, highly motivated with a drive to succeed. You will support the delivery of the company’s marketing strategy to generate revenues and lead to sustainable growth.

You will support continuous improvement activities for all marketing initiatives as requested.

You will ensure health, safety and environmental considerations are prioritised.

Scope and Responsibilities

  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the marketing activities
  • Support the group marketing teams in organizing projects and campaigns
  • Conduct market research and analyse consumer rating reports/questionnaires
  • Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings, etc.)
  • Update spreadsheets, databases, and inventories with statistical, financial, and non-financial information
  • Assist in organizing promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success
  • Prepare and deliver promotional presentations
  • Compose and post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts
  • Create marketing literature (brochures, press releases, etc.)
  • Communicate directly with clients and encourage trusting relationships
  • Contribute innovative ideas to marketing campaigns
  • Compile and distribute financial information
  • Liaise with customers/external agencies
  • Prepare marketing presentations and documentation, including business cases
  • Appraise options and submit for approval, controlling changes following approval
  • Determine and manage risks to the marketing strategy
  • Monitor performance of marketing activities using key metrics
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop cutting edge, strategic marketing initiatives
  • Document marketing processes and establish formal reporting arrangements
  • Coordinate and work with all relevant departments, providing subject matter expertise for all marketing activities
  • Support departments to resolve all issues in marketing-related matters
  • Investigate all discrepancies in processes and recommend resolutions for customers
  • Ensure compliance with marketing best practices
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers (internal and external)
  • Ensure adherence to environmental and health and safety procedures

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a marketing assistant
  • Proven track record and a credible professional
  • Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
  • Demonstrable ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
  • Excellent knowledge of market research techniques and databases
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software, and online applications (CRM tools, online analytics, Google AdWords, etc.)
  • Experience using CRM software and utilizing the system as an integral part of your marketing processes
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication and people skills

  • Ability to translate, statistically analyse data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats
  • Ability to apply advanced marketing techniques, including scheduling and monitoring multi-functional, long-term projects/activities
