Your Mission

Infinity Ward is currently seeking a Junior Model Artist (Temporary) in the Woodland Hills, CA area.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Create realistic models and textures for environments
• Work with scanned data for environment art, and capturing scanned data
• Support Map Leads and Senior Artists to achieve the desired artistic direction
• Identify and troubleshoot assets to stay within frame rate, memory, and design specifications
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Skills & Requirements

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements:

• 1+ year experience in games modeling environments using Maya, or related experience/software
• Strong understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regard to environment art
• Strong polygonal modeling skills, creating clean and efficient geometry quickly
• Strong texturing skills, adding realistic details to inform function, wear, and weathering
• Strong technical capability ensuring assets fit memory, design, and frame rate limitations
• Critical Work Environment - Able to work within a team, being open to feedback and new ideas
• Good communication – asking for help when needed, proactively sending updates and information

Software Knowledge:

• 3D modeling package (Maya Preferred), Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance Suite, Marvellous Designer, Photogrammetry capture/processing
