Front Office Software Engineer

Hybrid - Newark, NJ

Compensation Range : $80/-$82/hour

Our ideal candidate will have a background in building complex front office systems in Java, Python, and JavaScript leveraging AWS cloud components.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain new and existing risk and portfolio management applications in Java and Python.
  • Build rich user interfaces in JavaScript for our users
  • Work side by side with our solutions team and other front office investment teams.
  • Build and maintain code to manage data received from heterogenous data formats including web-based sources, internal/external databases, flat files, heterogenous data formats (binary, ASCII).
  • Build interfaces for supporting evolving and new applications and accommodating new data sources and types of data

Skills / Experience You Will Need:

  • Strong experience in developing in Java, Python, and/or JavaScript
  • Knowledge of Git, Jira and other common SDLC tools
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities, with an ability to think in a fast moving and dynamic environment
  • Proactive and ownership mentality
  • AWS Cloud experience.
  • Direct experience supporting front office end-users (PM, Quant).
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS
  • Experience with building microservices using Spring boot framework.
  • Experience in building web applications using Angular or React
