Are you passionate about Magic: the Gathering? A confident communicator with strong writing experience? This is the role for you!

As an MTG Freelance Content Writer, you are responsible for writing engaging content for the MTG community for our website MTGRocks.com. This position requires an analytical thinker with a passion and understanding of Magic: the Gathering and the needs of MTG players.

We are looking for someone with writing experience or a willingness to learn. You will be writing articles discussing and explaining news affecting MTG players worldwide. Key to this role will be your ability to write high-quality articles, lead ideas for new types of content coverage, and continuous improvement through content performance-based review. Ideally, we are looking for a writer who can work Saturday and Sunday; however, additional days or schedule can be added based on applicants availability.

Key Duties

• Write articles on timely breaking MTG news, strategy guides, and evergreen content explaining various MTG concepts, and/or list articles
• Ensure best headlines and cover images are used on articles
• Ensure site content is clean and follows editorial policy and guidelines
• Publish and share content to social media channels as needed
• Utilize, create, and manage editorial sheets to track content and give clarity over daily work
• Be an active team player on Slack and communication channels
