At Authentic, the Creative Team develops groundbreaking digital experiences, campaigns and content for leading brands. We’re seeking a Visual Designer, with a focus on User-Interface Design – to drive creative output across a range of innovative projects – with a strong pedigree in visual design and demonstrated expertise in digital experiences.

Job Description:

As a Visual Designer, you are a talented and driven designer who partners with UX and Technology to make beautiful, ground-breaking work that solves problems. You’re ready to be hands-on at every stage of a project, from brainstorming design concepts and developing original campaign ideas, to participating in client presentations and ensuring deadlines are met, all the way to launch. Authentic is a seriously collaborative work environment, so Visual Designers need to work closely with other disciplines on a daily basis, from copywriting to UX to client services, all while maintaining high standards for original concepts and detailed execution.

What We’d Like To See:

• 3-5 years of visual design experience, preferably in an agency environment.
• Strong conceptual thinking across web, mobile and social platforms. We want people who can start a project off with an interesting POV and come up with surprising, innovative concepts.
• Strong visual design portfolio with an emphasis on user-interface design. A great portfolio is more important than past experience for this role.
• Collaborative — the ability to work alongside other disciplines, including UX, Strategy, Development and Engagement and the confidence and skill to communicate your ideas clearly.
• Proficiency in user-experience design principles and best practices.
• A solid understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, user interfaces, and navigation. You know a digital experience needs more than just beautiful visuals.
• Use your knowledge and training to find inspiration in the digital space and identify opportunities in design and UX that can help push the boundaries for our clients.
• Advocate for exceptional design across the agency.
• Strong graphic design skills and familiarity concepting and executing campaigns.
• A great attitude and a lack of ego.
• Calm under pressure. We have an amazing work-life balance, but we’re still an agency and deadlines can be tight sometimes.
• Previous experience working with front-end developers.
• Experience with motion design a huge plus.
• Experience designing in Figma and Sketch a huge plus.
