Description of Responsibilities and Duties

Support the day-to-day management of UNCSA intranet portal and mobile app, Pathify

  • Serve as key point of contact for all campus collaborators.
  • Become in-house expert for Pathify’s content management system; train others to use the CMS.
  • Consistently provide updates to Director of Digital Media at weekly meetings, and for other stakeholders as requested.

Launch portal/app for Spring 2023 semester

  • Serve as a project manager; ensure adherence to timeline and track progress using ClickUp.
  • Source and organize content, including visual assets.
  • Review and edit written content to adhere to AP Style and UNCSA style guidelines.
  • Load and prep content to publish in the Pathify CMS.
  • Assist with coordinating usability testing before wide launch.
  • Contribute to launch communications plan.
  • Ensure all content is ADA compliant.
  • Complete Pathify webinars and training as needed.
  • Support coordination with external vendors to load and prep UNCSA website assets/features, such as campus maps, into Pathify CMS.

Ongoing app management and maintenance

  • Field requests for new/updated content to be published.
  • Establish cadence of review to check for and update stale content.
  • Train new CMS users as requested.
  • Outline and record processes.

About the team

The Office of Strategic Communications maintains the University’s external and internal communications through strategic marketing practices, public relations, media relations, news services, publications, executive messaging, internal communications and crisis/emergency communications through all channels including print, web, social media and email. The staff establishes standards for articulating the University’s mission, vision, core values, strategic goals and visual identity. These standards guide promotions for the University’s performances and events, and for sharing the accomplishments of its students, alumni, faculty and staff to all audiences that include potential and current students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, supporters and the general public.

The Division of Student Affairs strives to enhance each student’s experience at UNCSA. As student advocates, the Dean of Students and Student Affairs staff continually evaluate student needs and interests through counseling services, new student orientation, residence life, student success and student health services. Additional services include student activities, transportation services and student outreach services.

Description of Work

Primary purpose of the position

The Part-Time Digital Content Producer is responsible for supporting the implementation of the forthcoming Pathify intranet and mobile application, along with ongoing content management and maintenance. They will work closely with colleagues in Strategic Communications and Student Affairs, as well as with partners across campus, to ensure that intranet and mobile app information architecture and content reflects the needs of UNCSA students, and that it is consistently maintained and updated to avoid stale/outdated information.

This part-time temporary position is 100% remote. The position is funded for three years, and a candidate may not work more than 11 consecutive months at a time.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred experience
  • Writing for web.
  • Basic HTML.
  • Image manipulation and optimization skill (Adobe Photoshop, Canva, etc.).
  • Experience working and publishing in a CMS environment.
  • Familiarity with UNCSA.
  • Experience with Pathify is a plus.
