Were looking for a developer who will apply engineering standard methodologies to enhance and modernize our Enterprise Search platform(s) utilized by the organization’s critical business applications. The role requires an agile engineering approach, patience and persistence to solve complex problems, the ability to get things done quickly but thoughtfully, and the ability to dig deep into technology. In a DevOps environment, you will move between diverse tasks, focusing on test-driven development and continuous integration practices, while helping to bring out the best in those around you.
A typical day for this role would involve the following types of responsibilities:
- Create and update page layouts, display template, and widgets used on the search experience pages (mobile and desktop based)
- Apply branding (via wire forms or assistance from our UX/UI design teams) to apply branding to our search experience pages
- Conduct peer code reviews
- Create and maintain the Service API layer around the search platform in order to serve a “headless” search experience option to other business applications
- Custom API configurations in order to connect to sources within NM that are behind API service layers
Minimum Technical Skills:
- Web development experience with JavaScript, ES6, NodeJS, Angular, React, Redux, RESTful services
- API Service development (e.g. REST based APIs development)
- Experience with SQL relational databases and NOSQL databases
- Experience with source control and CICD related practices and technologies to automate testing and deployment (e.g. Gitlab)
- IAM experience is required
- Knowledge of OIDC and OAuth 2.0 is required

- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a scrum team using agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of professional experience required
- 1-3 years of experience working with modern engineering tools, languages, and practices
- Demonstrated critical thinking, ownership approach, and continuous learning
- Experience developing solutions using agile methods
- Advanced skillset in one or more technical platforms
- Capable of communicating between product, engineering, and the business
- Manages own time to meet objectives
- Ability to perform peer reviews on code and design
- Solid understanding of design patterns and architecture
