Position Objective:

The videographer role is responsible for creating visually rich, impactful videos for internal and external channels. This role will be responsible for shooting and editing video, including working with multiple stakeholders on concepting through completion. The right person will be high energy, curious and passionate, all in the pursuit of telling Sunbelt stories. The content types will vary, including business performance/information, safety, community involvement, and team member stories, to name a few.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Use creative and interesting storytelling strategies to make content engaging while still maintaining the strategic messaging goals.
  • Participate, contribute, and, at times, lead the scripting and storyboard development in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to direct video subjects to ensure the best content is being captured.
  • Assist in the development of video editing plan, communicate with stakeholders, perform video edits, and process video files in the necessary formats for internal and external digital communication platforms.
  • Prepare locations prior to video production and be able to conduct video shoots and interviews.
  • Work with Sunbelt producer to coordinate video shoot production schedules.
  • Create videos for various digital communication platforms, including internal and external social media apps.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the organization, including senior leaders and have strong communication skills.
  • Experience with maintaining video, photo and audio equipment.
  • Ability to uphold brand guidelines and have strong knowledge of design standards.
  • Adheres to an established approval process and communication of final deliverable.
  • Maintains quality control and cataloging of all raw video source clips, audio clips, multimedia files and art files.
  • Maintains the overall operating condition of editing suite and is responsible for the maintenance of software and hardware required to run video/audio/photographic production operations.
  • Researches and remains current on newest developments and technologies in multimedia design, development, and distribution.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with outside agencies on projects, as needed.
  • Additional skills that are a plus are photography and animation.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in video and photo production and editing using software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere and After Effects required.
  • Media-related degree preferred.
  • Must possess solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to embrace change, adapt strategies on the fly, and work in a matrix environment that is rapidly changing where ambiguity and short turnaround schedules are the norm.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects within scheduled timelines and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting media users on multiple platforms.
  • Proficient with Mac OSX, Mac IOS & Windows.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic.
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills for internal and external clients.
  • Knowledge and a good understanding of motion graphics is preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction and industrial environments is a bonus.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some projects may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.
