Job Description:

Are you a graphic designer eager to break into the world of publishing? Hey! I’m looking for you! My name’s Sylvia Frost, and I run The Book Brander, a boutique book cover design firm. My clients range from New York Times best-sellers who’ve sold millions of copies to new authors just finishing their first book. They all trust me to deliver rock solid branding and compelling book covers. As my business expands, I’m looking to bring on a junior designer on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

• Creating paperbacks, social media graphics, audio book covers, and eventually book covers themselves
• Assist in other graphic design tasks

Requirements:

• An example of a movie poster or book cover featuring high-level, seamless photo composite in your portfolio. I am NOT looking for an illustrator at this time. Illustration skills are bonus, but the bulk of my work involves photo-compositing.
• An understanding of how to represent a story visually and a passion for books.

Qualifications:

• Experience in graphic design
• Portfolio showcasing relevant skills and experience (must have at least one asset from category one)
