We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of our mobile app. As a Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in building the server-side components and infrastructure that power our app, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mobile app developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers, to create robust and scalable solutions. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain the server-side components and APIs that support our mobile app, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with mobile app developers to define and implement the necessary APIs and data models to support app functionality and user interactions.
• Optimize backend systems and databases for efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing.
• Ensure seamless integration of the backend with third-party services, APIs, and external data sources.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to protect user data and ensure secure access to the app.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging of backend components, identifying and resolving issues and bottlenecks to ensure a smooth user experience.
• Monitor and analyze server performance and usage metrics, implementing necessary optimizations and enhancements to improve app performance and stability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and UI/UX designers to ensure seamless integration of the backend with the app’s user interface and overall user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in backend development, incorporating innovative solutions and approaches into the app’s architecture and design.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful mobile app backend projects.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Node.js, Ruby, or Java.
• Solid understanding of server-side frameworks and technologies, such as Django, Flask, Express.js, Ruby on Rails, or Spring.
• Experience with database systems, including both relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Firebase).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and the ability to design and implement efficient and scalable API endpoints.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and their respective backend offerings.
• Understanding of security best practices and the ability to implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Proficient in version control systems, such as Git, and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and priorities in a fast-paced development environment.
• Familiarity with mobile app development processes and frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter) is a plus.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their integration with the backend is a plus.
• Passion for continuous learning and keeping up with the latest advancements in backend development and mobile app technologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $113,774.00 - $123,794.00 per year
