SUMMARY:

The Minnesota Vikings are currently seeking a creative, highly motivated Seasonal Photo Editor with a passion for football. The Seasonal Photo Editor will assist the Team Photographer, the Vikings Seasonal Photographer, and Vikings freelance photographer(s) with the postproduction process including, but not limited to, editing, culling, retouching, archiving, distribution, and image sourcing. The Seasonal Photo Editor will collaborate closely with the Sr. Manager, Digital Asset & Archives, and the Team Photographer to ensure postproduction workflows and other duties as assigned during the 2023 season.

This is a full-time seasonal position and is expected to conclude around the end of the 2023 Vikings Season, unless otherwise determined

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Edit/Retouch photos on Vikings gamedays for immediate use on Vikings.com and social media.
• Edit/Retouch photos from a variety of Vikings photographers including non-gameday events and photoshoots.
• Cull photographs according to shot lists and needs of the Team.
• Tag metadata and upload to the Vikings digital asset management system, Widen.
• Maintain the Vikings photo archive in collaboration with the Sr. Manager, Digital Asset & Archives.
• Handle image sourcing for internal & external photo requests.
• Help curate gameday and post-game photo galleries for Vikings.com.
• Assist with photoshoots.
• Photograph community and other events if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in photography or Photojournalism preferred, or currently enrolled as a student.
• Proficient in Adobe Bridge, Adobe Photoshop, and Photo Mechanic.
• Demonstrated photo editing experience.
• Experience with photo postproduction workflows and best practices.
• Experience maintaining the lifecycle of photos within a digital asset management system.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment and in media work zones.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel to various events.
