Mobile Developer

The Role

As a Mobile Developer you will be applying your mobile development and automation skills to develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve record keeping application. This person will be a hands-on engineer with well-honed design and development skills. This individual will be accountable for all the deliveries of the engineering team.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 8+ years of professional software design experience developing publicly available mobile application (iOS and/or Android)
• Experience with iOS and/or Android development in a hybrid tech stack (Ionic/Capacitor/Cordova) Client-Side development – Angular, NgRx, CSS, HTML
• Knowledge of the mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies used in creating performant, resilient, and robust mobile applications
• Fluency in Swift object-oriented and/or functional programming from industry working experience
• Participated in the release of at least 1 publicly available app to the Apple App Store participating from inception to launch using automated tooling like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and XCode toolchain
• Experience working in a team of developers participating in code reviews, pull requests, and pair programming.
• Proven experience mentoring and coaching other developers in a collaborative and team-based organization.
• Working experience in an Agile environment
• In-depth knowledge secure coding standards and practices

Additional Expertise and Skills We Prefer

• Knowledge of web services (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, etc.) and Spring Framework with integrating with APIs and RESTful web services
• Understanding and insight of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, and XCode Server and deploying applications in a DevOps environment
• Code Quality/Coverage Tools (Sonar or equivalent) Test/Automation (Jest, Cypress, Cucumber, or any similar framework)
• Knowledge of cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools; DataDog, Splunk, etc. for analysis, observability, and alerting

This team builds and gives to Fidelity’s digital presence. You will contribute to initiatives that supply ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn new technologies and languages. Our chapter comprises teams that work on a wide range of applications and platforms like Fidelity.com, Fidelity Mobile and Investor Centers. We’re looking for product-aware engineers who are passionate, inquisitive, and responsible individuals to help us on our mission to deliver the best omni-channel experience to our customers.
