Job Description

A Senior UX Designer will contribute by leading the design and development of our client’s AI Platform. This includes providing guidance on the implementation of UX research techniques and testing activities to assess user behavior, as well as overseeing user research processes. This role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders, to create intuitive and delightful user experiences that drive user engagement and value. Our client’s office is located in Northville MI, but this position is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Visually communicates ideas and iterations with key stakeholders through sketches, wireframes, flows, mockups, and prototypes
• Leads user research activities such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand and empathize with user needs and preferences
• Collaborates closely with developers to assist in the frontend and backend development during the design implementation process
• Effectively communicates design rationale across product creation disciplines and personnel
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal leadership skills and ability to motivate and coordinate across remote and cross-functional teams
• Demonstrates strong levels of skill, knowledge, and application of advanced UX methodologies and principles (e.g., UX strategy, content strategy, UX maturity management, etc.)

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of conversational design experience (e.g. human-computer interactions degree or conversational AI experience)
• Experience with SaaS platform UX/UI
• Experience in leading user studies, testing, validation, and feedback
• Understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design
• Experience with design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar software
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitLab, Jira)
• Experience in developing wireframes and prototypes to assess usability

Preferred Requirements

• Experience working in a startup environment or similar (e.g. innovation lab)
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates a range of UI design techniques
• Experience with mentoring junior UX designers
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
