Ghost Gadot is an Artist Collective, Marketplace, & Brokerage. It was founded by individuals passionate about improving the online artist community. The primary operating goal of Ghost Gadot is to provide a safe alternative to Twitter or Fiverr for clients and artists alike.

Ghost Gadot is trying to solve three problems. First, many consumers either have to pay pricy fees for “safe” content or take risks on artists they find through public markets such as Twitter. Second, individual artists cannot become economies of scale and are most efficient when specialized. And third, professional design software is priced so it acts as a barrier for some artists wanting to enter the market.

The first problem is partially solved naturally by getting consumers to do business in an enclosed market where Ghost Gadot can control the variables. We then go further by instituting clear and legally binding agreements on every transaction to hold liable all parties involved. The second is what makes Ghost Gadot so valuable to our self-employed contractors (artists); Ghost Gadot provides them with a network of communication in which their specialization is a positive feature instead of a negative. Large projects that require multiple specialties are now accessible to them, drastically increasing their opportunity for revenue. The third problem can be solved by getting artists to support each other in an organized group. Almost a union. A group of artists has more power at a negotiating table, broader access to financial resources, and an organized structure to coordinate large-scale projects.

For our artists, we:

• Guarantee payment for your services.
• Give back company profits as a bonus via the member profit-sharing plan.
• Grant access to an internal network of artists, projects, & clients.
• Grant access to collective resources.
• Provide legal assistance to ensure the financial safety of our artists.

POSITION INFORMATION

Artists must submit a showcase portfolio that represents their requested qualification. You can either attach it to this application as a file or link, or you can email your portfolio with the subject “App. Portfolio | [FIRST NAME] [LAST NAME]”.

We are seeking independent contractors to work as contracted artists and designers on behalf of Ghost Gadot. As a contracted artist, you will be responsible for meeting quotas and fulfilling the needs of our professional clients. Contracted artists may also fulfill individual projects if they’d like or, if necessary, to fulfill their monthly quotas.

Responsibilities:

• Work with professional clients and organizations on business deals brokered by Ghost Gadot.
• Work with individual buyers when not assigned to professional projects.
• Maintain at least one qualification of a design/artistic style. Qualifications are given through the Chief Artistic Director.
• Work collaboratively with other artists and designers.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project members, and other collective members.
• At a minimum, maintain your monthly quota.

Preferred Attributes:

• Strong artistic abilities with a focus on a specific genre or style.
• Decent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
• Proficiency in software and tools relevant to your position and style.
• Previous experience in commission-based projects or freelancing is required for Contracted Artists. It is not required for Associate Contracted Artists.

Compensation & Pay

Current Compensation:

• All artists take home 85% of the project’s net profit. The remaining 15% goes to Ghost Gadot and is then distributed according to our operating agreement.
• Monthly, 49% of Ghost Gadot’s net profits are distributed among all collective members.

Future Compensation: Note - Subject to change as the company grows. This is what we’d like to provide for our members if financially feasible.

• Monthly stipend for software resources or access to team plans paid for by Ghost Gadot.
• Flat weekly wages for being a member of our collective with a minimum guaranteed annual increase tied to the inflation rate of the U.S. Dollar upon annual review.
• Offer to change to a salaried employee after serving as an Independent contractor for a period of time.
