ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced product developer to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

In this role you will lead and coordinate our product development process from definition of product specification and completion of tech pack, through prototyping and sampling processes to approval for production.

You will liaise with and influence a cross functional team spanning design, sales, technical, planning and purchasing, production. Your goal is to develop products that are desirable, high-quality, to specification, and developed to schedule, whilst being commercially viable and offering good value.

The position is based in Hawick and is full time working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

ABOUT YOU

You are obsessed by knitwear and have developed extensive knowledge and understanding of knitwear technology, construction, and manufacturing methods.

You are passionate about sustainability and how this is delivered through product specification, with a good working knowledge of supplier ethical compliance

You will have an eye for detail and the ability to convey technical information clearly and accurately.

You are a creative problem solver, using product knowledge and experience to deliver great products and processes

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a flexible approach with the ability to adjust to the changing needs of a growing business. You’ll also be organised with the ability to prioritise objectives and workload.

Salary: From £26,772.00 per year
