Job Description: Software Engineer/Architect Role

As part of the future development of the SAGE Radar Warner Receiver Product, a multicore processor capable of achieving the future need and provide a platform for advance software architecture is need to be identified The role will involve the following:

• Wider understanding the SAGE product and the processor selected within the product line.
• Understanding of customer future needs as provided from customer, key engineers, and product road map.
• Understand the current software utilisation of the current processor.
• Survey the market for the processor architecture technology and Look into new technologies for future development.
• Investigate current selection in some of the advance technology areas within Leonardo such as Tempest in line within Leonardo Common Software architecture Framework.
• Investigate the software architecture that has been used in some technology advance areas within Leonardo to suggest a common software architecture for this role.
• Provide the software criteria for the processor selection.
• Trade off analysis of the different available options (Processor architecture, OS, Processor).
• Generate a report with the findings and recommendations to be delivered to the customer or to be integrated within a wider report or presentation pack.
