This is a part-time role, working 30 hours per week, on a fixed-term basis until July 2024.

What do you need to be successful as a Media Teacher at Activate Learning?

We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work.

You will have a Level 3 or above qualification in music (performance and production an advantage) along with recent music performance/production experience such as performance preparation, gigs, studio recording and computer music production – Ableton Live 10 and Logic Pro X.

Whilst previous teaching experience would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications to teach Media and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate their desire and ability to work alongside the wider team to continue to develop links with local businesses and the wider community to build and engage students in valuable work experience and project-based learning.
