Job Title: Traditional Service Musician 9AM Sunday at Memorial Chapel

Responsibilities:

• The length of each Worship Service is one (1) hour.
• Meet with the Pastoral team to identify the Government’s music requirements for scheduled worship services.
• Select music appropriate to the worship service and provide creative planning for the services.
• Prepare a worship set consistent with the common practice and theology of the service.
• Select music in keeping with the theme of the worship service, event, or ceremony.
• Provide music selections to the Chaplain Sponsor in time to be added to the presentation software.
• Provide appropriate musical support during designated worship services.
• Provide a prelude and postlude in consultation with the military Chaplain or designated representative.
• Lead the congregation in singing of hymns, chorus, spiritual songs, and special music.
• Coordinate with the instrumentalist to adjust tempo and style of musical arrangements.
• Perform site preparation (set-up) and restoration (stowing musical equipment).
• Arrive in sufficient time prior to the commencement of worship services to prepare the facility for music performances.
