Position: Software Engineer (KTP Associate)

Based at: Swellaway Ltd, Lymm, Cheshire

Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience

The role:

An exciting opportunity has become available for a recent graduate to work full time on a 2-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to embed new-to-company software, product design and modelling capabilities to facilitate delivery of an advanced SaaS cloud-based software ‘data management and insights’ platform.

Employed and supported by an academic team from the University, you will be based at Swellaway’s premises in Lymm, Cheshire.

Qualification we require:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, combined with work experience as a web-developer, front-end engineer or equivalent.

Application requirements:

• Development experience in object-orientated programming using languages such as C# or Java
• Relational database experience including schema design, SQL and/or Oracle
• Familiarity with front-end libraries and frameworks (React/Vue/Angular, ES6, jQuery)
• Experience using code repositories like GitHub or Bitbucket and deploying code using Git
• Experience in creating wireframes, clickable prototypes, and design specs
• Knowledge of UX/UI design processes
• Experience of conducting qualitative and quantitative research (e.g., customer surveys, semi-structured interviews)
