Hello! We are Nonagon Productions, a leading commercial video production company servicing the Northern Virginia and Washington DC area.

We are looking for a talented, driven, and ready-to-learn individual to join our team. This is an on-call contracted position, with the opportunity to grow further within the company.

About the Position

This position is for a videographer that is experienced with working on commercial sets, and can not only hit the record button, but bring new ideas and inspiration to the team. You will be assisting us on set with operating the camera, communicating with clients on set, and organizing/uploading the footage.

You will be responsible to shoot with your own gear a lot of the time, with the option to use company equipment as needed. Our equipment inventory is limited, so make sure your gear matches the requirements listed below. We do some photography in our business, but only as an add-on to our video services. If you have photography experience as well (not required), you will be given more opportunities to work.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of videography experience (commercial/corporate preferred)
• Must own a camera body that can do 4k60, wide angle lens, gimbal, extra batteries, and basic lighting
• 18+ years old
• Portfolio or work examples to show
• Resume listing your skillsets, knowledge, and experience
• Drivers license with access to a vehicle and willing to travel around the NOVA/DC area
• High speed internet to transfer large files when you can’t come into the office
• Flexible schedule to be on call within 2-3 days of notice

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate camera on set while supervising audio, exposure, focus, etc.
• Communicate with clients to ensure they’re happy with the production process
• Upload footage/Deliver SSD in a timely manner after a video shoot
• Plan for all outcomes (extra batteries, memory cards, lens assortment, etc.)

Preferred but not required:

• 4k Drone and a Part 107 License
• 5 years of photography experience (commercial/corporate preferred)
• Reference from previous production company

Pay:

$27.00 - $40.00 per hour
