Job DescriptionOverview:

WWL, New Orleans legendary News-Talk-Sports super brand, is looking for a part time digital content producer. We’re looking for an LSU enthusiast with strong writing and producing skills to deliver coverage of the SEC giant. Will be responsible for daily coverage of LSU football for WWL digital. Would collaborate daily with WWL Digital Managing Editor. Should love reporting; have significant digital skills and strong writing & producing skills. Sports reporter experience a must. Prior coverage of LSU & deep knowledge of the team an absolute. Responsibilities:

• Develop sports story ideas and features for digital coverage.
• Provide daily LSU coverage - team stories, game previews, game recaps, coverage of coach & player press conferences, etc…

Qualifications:

Required & Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of experience covering sports and producing, editing, and distributing sports news and digital audio content
• Outstanding sports judgment and familiarity with the New Orleans & Baton Rouge market.
• Strong editing, writing, reporting and story development skills
• A knack for transforming a piece of audio into a compelling digital article
• Command of best practices on all social media platforms
• Excellent communication skills
