Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative Freelance Activewear Designer to join our team. As a Freelance Activewear Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing high-performance activewear pieces that seamlessly blend fashion and functionality. Your designs will cater to athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and individuals who seek comfort and style in their active lifestyle. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with our creative team to understand brand aesthetics, target audience, and design objectives.
• Research and stay updated on the latest trends, materials, and technologies in activewear design and performance fabrics.
• Develop design concepts, sketches, and mood boards that translate brand values into innovative activewear designs.
• Create detailed technical sketches and design specifications for manufacturing purposes, with the help of our Garment Technologist.
• Select suitable fabrics, trims, and embellishments that align with performance and aesthetic requirements.
• Get involved in fitting and testing, making necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and functionality.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from internal stakeholders, athletes, and focus groups.
• Maintain a balance between design creativity and production feasibility, considering cost and manufacturing constraints.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of designs during production.
• Stay organized by managing design files, sketches, and other project-related documents.
• Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Activewear Designer, showcasing a strong portfolio of relevant work.
• In-depth knowledge of activewear trends, fabrics, materials, and construction techniques.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
• Strong understanding of pattern-making, grading, and garment construction.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey design ideas and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Creative flair, originality, and the ability to innovate within the constraints of activewear design.
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality, functional, and aesthetically appealing activewear.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt designs based on feedback and changing requirements.
• Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly design practices is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Salary: $200.00 per day
