We are looking for Full Stack Software Engineering expertise within an innovative Blockchain environment. As a Software Engineer in our Blockchain Consultancy, your technical prowess won’t just be applied but stretched to new boundaries. From leading intricate projects that leverage your broad skill set in front-end and back-end technologies to architecting robust Blockchain solutions, the role will constantly challenge and excite you. This role is your chance to make a significant impact, refining and expanding your software engineering skills in the exhilarating world of Blockchain. This is a part-time position with a max of 20 hours per week.

Job Description

  • Design, code, test, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of web applications, leveraging a technology stack that includes JavaScript (React, Node, Express), CSS, Bootstrap, SQL/NoSQL, and AWS Services.
  • Understand the business needs, identify problems, and design scalable solutions using comprehensive knowledge of software development.
  • Lead the technical aspects of project teams, inspiring and mentoring junior engineers, providing clear technical direction and guidance.
  • Ensure project delivery within the stipulated timelines and quality parameters, managing resources, and coordinating with other teams.
  • Work closely with clients, project managers, designers, other developers, systems analysts, and sales and marketing professionals.
  • Review team’s code, provide feedback, ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, and document work to maintain a record of the project and facilitate future troubleshooting and software maintenance.
  • Work in a fast-paced Agile development environment, utilizing Scrum to deliver projects.
  • Follow the security and privacy policies, standards, and guidelines in order to protect the informational assets of both the company and its customers.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and ensure the continuous learning of the team.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Proficiency in using Linux/Unix systems and version control systems like Git/GitHub is required.
  • Solid experience working in Agile methodologies like Scrum and tools like JIRA, stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to work well in fast-paced situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical ideas in a clear, understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing end-to-end software development project lifecycles.
  • Ability to align technical strategies with corporate objectives and business needs, familiar with navigating corporate structures, and liaising with various levels of management.
  • Ability to produce clear and well-structured documentation, including code comments, wiki articles, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and practices to ensure safe, secure software solutions.
  • Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
  • Write well-designed, testable code.
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
  • Document and maintain software functionality.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
  • Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback.
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards.
  • Ensure software is updated with the latest features.
  • Work with project manager to set goals, milestones, and plans.
  • Work with leadership to define personal goals, mentorship, and growth opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
