Contract: Contractor, Full Time

Duties:

• Create and develop fashion designs, including clothing, accessories, and footwear
• Use fashion styling techniques to create visually appealing and marketable designs
• Illustrate design ideas using computer software or by hand
• Collaborate with fashion retail professionals to understand market trends and consumer preferences
• Sell designs to clients or manufacturers
• Conduct research on current fashion trends, fabrics, and materials
• Collaborate with graphic designers to create promotional materials for fashion collections
• Work on costume design for theater productions or other artistic projects
• Operate sewing machines and other tools to bring designs to life

Qualifications:

• Strong artistic and creative abilities in fashion design
• Proficiency in illustration and sketching techniques
• Knowledge of color theory and its application in fashion design
• Familiarity with fashion retail industry trends and consumer preferences
• Experience in graphic design is a plus
• Proficiency in using sewing machines and other tools for garment construction
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
