Principal Associate - UX/UI Designer
The Commercial Card Design team is seeking an Experience Designer that can dive into complexity, translating user needs into intuitive scalable experiences that redefine our customers day-to-day financial activities. Our design team supports three primary workstreams: our payables platform, the corporate card experience, and associate experiences and tools. Your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on payables and corporate card, with opportunities for horizontal influence and engagement.

What you’ll do:
- Responsible for the end-to-end user experience and interface design for new features in our customer-facing commercial card products, working closely with product, business analysts, engineers, designers, and stakeholders across the company
- Create new feature concepts, frameworks, portfolio prioritization, and roadmaps that help drive the strategic definition of the desired user experience
- Develop deep empathy for our customers, using research including usability testing to inform design solutions
- Translate strategy into concept prototypes to communicate your vision through artifacts
- Provide UX direction for development, testing, and refinement of prototypes
- Use visual and tangible storytelling to share your discoveries, influence stakeholders, and create energy around your ideas
- Become entrenched in available and defined design systems and apply these in your work where applicable, contributing to the design system as a whole
- Support and mentor designers across the team while connecting the dots across experiences

- Excellent problem-solving and relationship management skills
- A strong understanding of information architecture, design systems, and human computer interaction that supercharges your ability to design intuitive experiences in complex spaces
Your Design Portfolio:
- Highlights both your UX and your UI work
- Reflects understanding of design principles, systems thinking and industry-standard interaction patterns for responsive web and/or mobile.
- Showcases end-to-end work on digital product design projects – show your process from discovery to delivery
- Gives us a glimpse of what makes you and your skills unique
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 4 years of experience with user experience design and including visual UI design
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years experience in the full range of product design, interaction design and visual design
- A compelling portfolio that demonstrates your past work and its impact
- Familiarity with a variety of user research methodologies and how to use them effectively
- Excellent communication and the ability to influence multiple levels of the organization
- Experience designing and shipping web and mobile products that customers love
- Ability to design for any platform (iOS, Android, mobile web, desktop etc.)
- Mastery of design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, etc)
- Ability to work well on an ego-free, highly collaborative, and cross-functional team
