The Design group at Haartz is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Part-Time Designer to join our growing team!

This is What You Will Be Doing

As a Part-time Designer, you will be responsible for:

• Developing new grain/texture/print designs and appearances for automotive interior applications
• Supporting project and customer interfaces in the pursuit of new business with design personnel at the OEMs
• Supporting graphic needs (when necessary)

24 hours per week (3 days)

This is What You Should Bring

• Bachelors (or higher) in Design preferably in 2D: graphics, Textiles, CMF or 3D: product or industrial with 0-3 years of experience
• Understanding and proficiency with Photoshop and Illustrator (or similar software) for the creation of new print and grain designs
• The ability to:
• Design/create print and grain samples on the sampling equipment (e.g. Vacuum Former, UV printer, Heat press etc.)
• Follow/research design trends and be able to interpret into grain and print designs for automotive interiors
• Pass the color test “Farnsworth-Munsell 100 hue test”
• Have a good knowledge of color for supplying color shift direction to meet customer design intent during sampling or an advanced design trial
• Attend local customer/supplier trials/meetings occasionally
• Effectively communicate the status of developmental materials internally & externally
