Job Description

Downey & Co -a leading producer of luxury printed stationery, invitations and bespoke packaging, seeks a skilled and experienced Artworker to work within their Artwork & Pre-press team, working on an array of pre press / artworking projects for high profile clients & luxury brands.

• As a talented and disciplined Graphics Artworker, you will possess a superb working knowledge of software packages within the Adobe Creative Suite with extensive experience with Indesign essential.
• You will work closely with the Design team, Project managers and the Production Planner to ensure artwork preparation works seamlessly alongside production schedules.
• This role is based within our East London studio with a move to a central London office planned for October/November 2023.
• The role is offered on a temporary contract basis, likely to be approx. 4 months, but could be extended if needed.
• Salary will be determined based by experience and will be offered with pro rata holiday days.
• Basic working hours are 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Ideal person will have the following:

• Superb knowledge and experience of Adobe CS with Indesign and Illustrator being most essential.
• Knowledge and experience of printing techniques and processes would be ideal.
• The ability to quickly establish a good working relationship with clients and colleagues.
• Superb attention to detail and great organisational skills.
• A confident manner.
• A positive “can do” attitude.
• Able to work reliably under pressure and to operate in a team environment.
• Excellent time management skills.
