Client: Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric & Neonatal Nurses

Location: Washington, United States

Contract: Contractor

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and design presentations using AWHONN style and branding guidelines.
  • Edit and redesign existing presentations with a focus on how learners will process and interact with the information provided.
  • Craft original graphic content for slides that will impact and engage a wide variety of audiences.
  • Edit existing creative materials: art edits, including complex data-based charts and tables.
  • Perform artwork searches on stock photo websites and internal databases.
  • Work with AWHONN staff, nurses, SME, and graphic designers on content to complete presentations.
  • Craft presentations with a “design eye” to provide a professional, polished look to the content.

Working Conditions

  • Remote position
  • Must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends to meet the needs of the contracted project.
  • Candidates must have their own equipment and software.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience Qualification: Proven work experience as a PowerPoint Presentation Designer or in a similar role. Bachelor’s degree in design (preferred) or two to five years of experience in a presentation/graphic design role in a business setting or creative environment; with a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and related expertise.
  • Technical skills: Demonstrated expertise in PowerPoint, including use of multiple masters, color themes, animations, actions, and video; proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software: Photoshop, and Illustrator. Exceptional eye for design aesthetics and knowledge of design trends.
  • Soft skills: High degree of initiative to drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment; ability to absorb and respond to constructive feedback and turn projects around quickly when off course.
  • Portfolio: Must provide PPT samples of work to be considered; examples relating to healthcare work are highly desired.
  • Must be detail-oriented and ensure that quality standards are met for the educational programs. Familiar with building or working with healthcare provider educational programs, preferred. Ability to work with independence as well as in small collaborative team environments.
