Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, four (4) years of directly related experience may be considered.
- Two (2) years of video production experience, including experience with ENG, DSLR, and studio cameras and experience with editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Audition.
- Frequently moves Audio/Visual equipment weighing up to 50 pounds for various field/studio event needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional (3+) years of video production experience, including experience with ENG, DSLR, and studio cameras and experience with editing software, such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Audition.
- Experience with storytelling or communicating a required message through the camera and in the edit suite.
- Experience in a university, hospital, or other non-profit environment.
Brief Description of Duties:
Working independently or with a production team, and under the direction of the communications supervisor, the Video Production Specialist will provide technical and creative support to include filming events, news stories, promotional and informational videos. This includes preparing studios and remote locations and handling pre and post production related duties, including editing according to University’s approved branding. Successful incumbent must have the ability to work with a team as well as have the ability to work with all members of the community, including students, faculty, staff, and administration.
Provide advanced technical and creative support as a videographer and/or video editor capacity.
- Site survey, meet with clients and participate in video and event planning.
- Prepare studio and remote locations.
- Perform routine production and post production tasks.
- Pack, move and store equipment.
Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
Salary:
$40-$51 per hour
