Assistant Editor Rocket Media Group, LLC is searching for an Assistant Editor. This is a full-time, salaried position at a client facility in Quantico, VA. This is an entry-level video editor position. The selected person will be responsible for managing media, assembling timelines, doing camera cuts, and providing support to the post-production team as assigned. Additional duties may include image and music research. Must be able to pass background check for Security Clearance.

Assistant Editor Duties

• Create projects and build timelines/multi-camera clips in Avid Media Composer
• Assist in image and music searches
• Assist with studio productions
• Provide asset management assistance in Avid Isis shared environment
• Assist in field production shoots

Skills & Experience

• 1-3 years minimum experience with Avid Media Composer and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop)
• 1-3 years of motion graphics/animation (Adobe After Effects)
• Knowledge of, and a desire to learn more about video production both in a studio and a field environment
• Ability to work on multiple projects without sacrificing quality
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to take direction from the producer / director
• Experience with law enforcement or military a plus
