Job Description:

Ms Rachel Company is searching for a NYC-based Audio Engineer with a background in audio mixing for longer form content (30 mins to 1 hour). Individuals with experience in audio mixing for children’s entertainment and/or streaming networks are highly encouraged to apply. This is an on-site, freelance position at our New York City office. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Edit and perfect post-production audio using Final Cut and/or Pro Tools according to broadcast standards
• Ensure consistent audio levels and peaks throughout the video timeline
• Troubleshoot and remedy microphone issues (pops, cracks, etc)
• Ensure consistency of audio quality after export

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in professional audio production
• Ability to effectively edit and layer dialogue audio with sound effects and musical scoring within a short timeframe
• Eagerness to collaborate with video editors
• Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment
• Demonstrated interest/experience in children’s entertainment

Requirements:

• Fluency in Final Cut Pro & Mac interface
• Must be able to commute to our NYC office
