Job Summary:

WPEC in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida is looking for a part-time Associate Producer to join our team and learn the ropes of TV news production. The goal of this position is to help you grow in experience and confidence so you can take on daily show producing. If you’re a news junkie who wants to be part of putting together what people see and read every day – we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Writing copy and editing video for newscasts
• Posting stories on social and digital platforms
• Other duties as assigned

The Successful Candidate:

• Keen interest in and knowledge of current events
• The ability to excel in a deadline-focused environment
• Knowledge of basic journalistic standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Non-linear editing skills a plus
• A 4-year degree in Journalism or Mass Communications preferred
• Available to work evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays
