As a Media Producer at Granby Community Access and Media, you will play a vital role in capturing and delivering engaging local content to our audience.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Media Producer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about capturing the essence of our community through visual storytelling. This role involves attending and filming various local events, such as meetings, sports games, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Coverage: Attend a wide range of local events, including town hall meetings, sports games, cultural festivals, and community gatherings, to capture high-quality footage and interviews.
• Camera Operation: Operate professional cameras and equipment to capture footage in a variety of settings, ensuring excellent video and audio quality.
• Storytelling: Craft engaging narratives through video content that highlights the unique aspects of our community, its people, and their stories.
• Editing: Edit and post-process footage to create polished and cohesive video content that adheres to our station’s standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of cameras, audio equipment, and other production tools.
• Adaptability: Be flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends, as many local events occur outside of regular office hours.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in video production, camera operation, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
• Strong storytelling and visual communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of local community and events is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 18 per week
