Role Description
The Grammy Room, located in Hyattsville, MD, is looking for a part-time Audio Engineer for on-site work. The Audio Engineer will be responsible for operating and maintaining the recording equipment, ensuring high-quality sound and audio for all recording sessions, managing the setup and teardown of all equipment, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during recording sessions. The ideal candidate will have experience in recording, mixing, and mastering audio, and possess a keen ear for identifying and mitigating sound quality issues.
Qualifications
- Experience operating and maintaining professional recording equipment
- Experience in recording, mixing, and mastering audio
- Experience with digital audio workstations such as Pro Tools.
- Familiarity with multiple types of microphones and recording techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and mitigate sound quality issues
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced recording environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
